What Good Friday means to me
There are some that believe it “morbid” to call a day when someone died an unusually cruel kind of death “GOOD Friday.” I’ve thought it myself many times but that was before I came to understand and appreciate what the world has gained by such a death.
We call it GOOD but it was, without a doubt, the best thing that could have happened for you and me. It was GOODER or better than GOOD.
For over two thousand years now, mankind has been blessed with the opportunity to have life’s slate wiped clean so that one might be able to start all over again. It was the greatest “Do-over” ever granted to anyone.
Twenty-four years ago, when I was forty-three, another man was crucified and then born-again, a new creature because of what Jesus Christ made possible on that first GOOD Friday. That man was me.
I’ll always be thankful.

Well, it is a GOOD Friday.
Well, it is a GOOD Friday. I've found my Clarence again! I'd wondered where you'd been!
I'll have to read your archive and catch back up. Good to hear from you, my friend!
Thank God! We missed each other like two ships passing in the night and only one of them had on their running lights. I'm glad to know that you can see me now also.
I thought you were just being stand-off-ish.
Glad you survived the winter.
I'm glad I found you again too!! Gosh, I sure hope you didn't think I was being stand-off-ish as well.
I do like your heading, Milk Gravy on Biscuits! Now, your blog will make me hungry for that each time I see it. Ain't nothing no better than gravy and biscuits with some eggs and sausage along with it. Then sop the plate with a biscuit. Yummmy!!!
Yes, it is a Good Friday...well actually now it's Sunday. I went to a sunrise service this morning and it was so cold on top of that hill and the SUN didn't come up at all. But we know that the SON did rise again!!
I'm glad you found me again also. I've tried several ways to get "hooked" back up with my on-line friends since I ceased my Can You Hear Me Now Blog, even resorting to sending out a mass emailing to everyone in my address book sending them a link to my NEW Vox Blog.
I hope the Vox people didn't insist on you signing up for your own blog just so you could comment on mine. I've been told that is what happens. I wouldn't want to confront them about it since they allow me have one here for FREE.
I still read everything you post on your Blog. Bloglines lets me know each time you post. I'm thankful I have them to keep me up to date with everyone.
Like the old song says...they ain't ever done me nothing but GOOD.
I'll bet spring is busting out all over down there by the lake where you live.
Wish I was there. I'll guess the fish are biting real well right now.
Good to hear from you. Thanks for going through whatever it was you had to do to leave your comment. I always appreciate the effort.
