My patience is dwindling fast...Question is: SO WHAT?
The old saying goes "If you don't like the weather around here, wait another five minutes and it will change, perhaps into something you WILL like."
The sun is so bright right now, but don't be fooled by that fact. The wind is also gusting up to forty miles per hour and the temperature is dropping steadily. They say that we could see 3 degrees above zero tonight. Thankfully, the wind is supposed to die down this evening. If these winds continued and it did drop down to 3 degrees along with it, those would be deadly circumstances. We don't want to lose anyone at this late a date.
A few days ago it was warm enough that I managed to clean up some of the larger piles of leaves that had accumulated up against the fence on both sides of the house. I also cut down the dead remnants of the beautiful Pampas Grass we've been enjoying each summer since it was planted. After seeing the mess those fronds made everywhere the wind could carry them, I swore that this year I would cut them down in the late fall and not allow them to stand all winter.
I'm fully expecting to learn that many a great tree has succumbed to the force of the wind due to the earth being so wet and soft by tomorrow morning's news broadcasts.
Here I am...reduced to writing about the weather. Rest assured...If there was anything going on in my life right now that was worth sharing, I'd be writing about that instead. Since it isn't ...This is what you get.
