Joy is where one can find it
I simply love my DVR.
It is the perfect tool for we "instant gratification types."
Even while I am fast-forwarding through four minutes of commercials, I am paying close attention to the commercials as they zip past and as certain ones flash past I say "I'm so glad I didn't need to sit through that commercial AGAIN."
Another reason I pay such close attention to what is going by on the screen is because I want to hit the "Play" button as exactly the right time so I don't miss any of the program I am watching. If I am not alert, some of the good stuff will be missed and that requires me to hit the rewind button to get back to the right place and that ticks me off a little when it happens too often.
I record a lot of The Tonight Show, David Letterman and Craig Ferguson and I really love being able to fast-forward through the introduction portion of each one of those or the monologue portion of Craig Ferguson's program.
Also, I want to go on record and say "I'm glad that the writers are back."

Since we have the same cable source; don't you get upset when the fast forward or the rewind won't stop.. It is like it gets froze and no matter what you do it keeps on going. It is like there is a hesitation in the controling of the remote too!! Oh well I still love my DVR TOO!!
